MIKROS Projects

What are MIKROS Projects?

A project is a container for apps across iOS and Android. You should add separate iOS and Android project variants, as each project should have their own tokens and keys. You can set up each project to support multiple environments, such as development, staging and production.

Note: The information collected during the “Add Project” flow is important as it helps our technology better serve you. Fill out the form thoroughly. The information you input becomes a baseline for our artificial intelligence to figure out your product(s) needs and relay valuable information back to you about actionable steps towards getting more users, earning more money, saving money and much more.

How Many Projects Can I Have per Account?

Free Plan - Your project quota is limited to 10 projects.
Startup Plan - Your project quota is limited to 25 projects.
Enterprise Plan - Your project quota increases substantially as long as your MIKROS Billing account is in good standing.

The limit on project quota is rarely a concern for most developers, but if needed, you can request an increase in your project quota.

Note: The complete deletion of a project requires 30 days and counts towards your quota until it is fully deleted.

Where Can I Find the AppGameId for My App?

When you add your project and your project is approved, you will have the option of viewing your keys. There you will find the appGameId which is needed to instantiate the MIKROS SDK.

Here is an example of an appGameId: 'tg-5ac1213407dfb'

Where Can I find the Api Keys for My App?

While the appGameId is a unique identifier for each of your apps, we also generate various api keys representing different environments and providing additional security for the data you are collecting. Similar to receiving an appGameId, when you add your project and your project is approved, you will have the option of managing your keys. There you will find your api keys. You are only issued Production api keys by default, however, you can add additional environments if you choose. Just click on the (+) button to add new api keys.

Here is an example of an api key: '8h13d5ff3f456783de0a'

What Are the Guidelines for App Review?

To use MIKROS your app and content must follow our guidelines outlined here.

Pricing

Which Products Are Paid? Which Are Free?

There are two paid subscription tiers to choose from, Startup and Enterprise. And there is one Free plan. The free subscription tier is free for life.

The differences between the tiers are limitations and access to M2M (mobile-to-mobile) reporting. While you are able to see information regarding how your application is holding up against your competitors on the free plan, there are less reports and less available data accessible to you.

How Do I Know Which Plan is Right for Me?

Startup Billing Plan

Our Startup plan is a great place to develop your app at a lower cost. You get all the MIKROS features and a generous amount of our Enterprise infrastructure features. With this plan, you have access to M2M (mobile-to-mobile) reporting, and the ability to compare your data to your competitors so that you can create actionable milestones.

Enterprise Billing Plan

Our Enterprise plan is designed for production apps. This plan allows you to extend your available features, creating a custom payment plan that fits your business needs. This allows you to pay for the resources and features that you need, and scale with demand. We strive to make our Enterprise plan prices competitive with industry-leading analytics and marketing providers.

Can I Upgrade, Downgrade, or Cancel at Any Time?

Yes, you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Note that we don’t provide prorated refunds for downgrades or cancellations. This means that if you downgrade or cancel before the end of your billing period, you still pay for the remainder of the month.

What Kind of Support Will I Receive?

All MIKROS subscription tiers, including the free plan, come with email support from Tatum Games staff during US Pacific business hours. All accounts have unlimited support for billing-related issues, account-issues, technical (troubleshooting) questions, and incident reports.

Do You Offer Ad-Hoc Pricing? I Only Want Pay-as-You-Go for One or Two Features.

No, we do not offer ad-hoc pricing. However, with your Enterprise plan you can create a custom plan. Generally speaking, the custom plans are for adding more features and increasing plan limitations, such as the amount of projects that can be added or the number of member invitations and more.

Analytics

Why is MIKROS Analytics Recommended? How is it Different?

There are major limitations to what game studios can measure with today’s mobile analytic tools, for example, no user history tracking outside of their own games and data sets confined to their own product line. This is what distinguishes MIKROS from other analytics services. MIKROS enrolls game developers in an information sharing ecosystem that helps identify better insights about user behavior, including their spending habits.

Here’s how the service works. MIKROS anonymizes all collected data, then sorts users by spend and activity levels across our ecosystem of opted-in game developers. Game developers and advertisers can view reports in a dashboard so that they can better understand their users’ behavior across many games and pinpoint areas to improve their customer experience.

By way of one non-limiting illustrative example, MIKROS can tell you how many users downloaded your app--same as other current mobile analytic services--but also compare that number of user downloads to other mobile apps similar to your app by way of genre, content, and other relevant features; this is the comparative analysis that is unrealized in other analytic services.

What is the MIKROS Ecosystem? And How Does Data-Pooling Work?

Data is sent to a central data repository, otherwise known as the MIKROS Ecosystem. Various Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are triggered based on users’ interaction with one or more applications. Once the data is captured by one or more applications and sent to the MIKROS Ecosystem, it is anonymized, ordered, grouped and prepared for analysis. MIKROS does the aforementioned and then outputs some conclusion(s) with respect to all the data in the MIKROS Ecosystem.

What is M2M (mobile-to-mobile) Technology?

M2M (mobile-to-mobile) is our patented technology that makes all the magic happen! More specifically, it is an interface layer connection that builds machine learning pipelines and uses artificial intelligence to turn massive datasets into identifiable patterns, algorithms and statistical models. This layer is capable of cleaning, aggregating, and organizing data from disparate sources to produce meaningful conclusions.

How Are Competitors Determined?

MIKROS allows you to compare your KPIs with your Competitors. This allows you to better understand how your app is performing relative to your competition. You can even receive hints and tips on how to improve your app based on what your Competitors are doing. Competitors are determined by evaluating a number of factors that include the time which your app is published, to your game genre, content, gameplay type, theme and more. We want to compare apples to apples so that you can have a better understanding of where you should improve, what specific KPIs you aren’t doing well in and why. Armed with this information you will be able to create actionable milestones to be on par or stay ahead of your competition.

Is It Possible to Know Who My Competitors Are?

No. Similar to user identity information, Competitor identities are also anonymized. It is not possible to know exactly who your Competitors are. We do share with you the number of Competitors you have though. The more Competitors, the better and more accurate your comparison analysis data will be.

How Does MIKROS Help With GDPR?

We have taken steps to ensure that MIKROS, as a platform, satisfies GDPR rules. We are always working to stay compliant, which helps make compliance easier for your business. However, although MIKROS is designed to be GDPR-friendly, it can be unintentionally or intentionally used in a manner that violates GDPR rules.

Therefore, if you are using MIKROS and target or serve users in the EU or EEA, then it is your responsibility as the data controller to ensure that your use of MIKROS adheres to GDPR requirements.

What Will Happen to My Data When I Upgrade to a New Subscription?

This will not affect your existing MIKROS project analytics data. You will be able to continue using the same dashboard and workflows you are using today.

How Does Crash Reporting Work?

Crash reporting creates a separate background process to upload crash info. This happens automatically, it is quick and provides a nice summary that has everything you need to know about the crash. MIKROS shows details like number of crashes, percentage of crash-free users, which users are impacted by each crash, and how your app stability compares to other apps like yours.

When Should I Expect to See Data Populated on My Dashboard?

Relatively in real time! You should start to see data on your dashboard after only a couple minutes.

Note: We do have processing cycles. This is a scheduler that flushes all tracked event and session queues. This means that 10 hours is the longest you’ll have to wait for data if you are experiencing any delays posted to your dashboard.

What Happens When There Is No Internet Access? Do I Lose Any Tracked Information?

Nope, you won’t lose any tracked information in the case of internet loss. Regardless of internet access, all events that you track will be safely secured and stored. We cache all events and will use best effort practices to continue retrying to send your tracked events once there’s an active internet connection.
